Cattle Barn Fan Installation Options

Flexible Mounting for Dairy Barn Ventilation Systems

Optimizing air circulation is essential for any dairy or cattle operation. At Bonawind, we offer two practical installation methods for our large-scale cattle barn fans and dairy barn ventilation fans, designed to suit various barn layouts and structural conditions.

1. Chain Hanging Installation (For Circulation Fans)

One of the most common methods for installing cattle fans in dairy barns is the chain hanging setup. It allows the fan to be suspended securely from the ceiling, ensuring wide airflow coverage and flexibility.

Benefits:

  • Suitable for barns with high ceilings

  • Adjustable hanging height for different cow zones

  • Keeps floor space clear

  • Easy to relocate when needed

2. Pipe Support Mounting (For Panel Fans)

For panel-type dairy barn fans, a pipe support installation is recommended. This involves anchoring the fan to a vertical or slanted steel pipe, giving it a firm, fixed location with targeted airflow.

Benefits:

  • Highly stable structure

  • Ideal when roof structures can’t support hanging loads

  • Allows focused airflow direction

  • Easier maintenance access
